For the First Time Ever, Gazprom Nedra’s Quality Management System Has Been Certified to PJSC Gazprom’s Standard

It is the first time that the company has been awarded this document. The certificate applies to all activities of Gazprom Nedra LLC and its separate BUs, to works performed and products manufactured, including geological exploration and special works, geophysical research and well intervention, mud logging, and the design and production of geophysical devices and equipment. Following the award of the certificate, the company now has the right to refer to it when advertising its products and services.

In 2022, the company’s management made the decision to have Gazprom Nedra LLC’s quality management system prepared and then certified in compliance with STO Gazprom 9001–2018 in VCS INTERGAZSERT.

The certification process was completed under the guidance of the Deputy General Director and Chief Engineer of Gazprom Nedra LLC Vyacheslav Plotnikov; a number of important projects were carried out, namely: 10 standards and 2 amendments to the standards were developed, administration and branch specialists were trained and internal and diagnostic (preparatory) audits were conducted; there was also an audit by external auditors.

For the certification, an external audit was carried out in two stages by auditors from the Certification Association “Russian Register”, accredited by VCS INTERGAZSERT. During the first stage, the documents were reviewed and in the second stage, objective audit evidence was assessed by interviewing the company’s administration employees in Moscow and Tyumen, in Gazprom Nedra NTTs (Science and Technology Centre), production branch (PF) Severgazgeofizika, and the scientific and manufacturing branch (NPF) Tsentrgazgeofizika.

The external auditors reached the conclusion that the quality management system has been implemented at Gazprom Nedra LLC and ensures the effective functioning of the company. In addition, they noted the best practices of the quality management system in force at the company, such as the use of automated systems to monitor the functioning of processes, the introduction of an electronic document management system, the use of domestically developed software, as well as the creation of a Well Construction Centre (WCC) which coordinates the activities and organises the interaction of customers, contractors, and all services of Gazprom Nedra LLC. Potential areas for improvement of the quality management system were also identified; their implementation is to be assessed at the next audit in May 2024.
