Aleksey Ovechkin Assumes Leadership of Gazprom Nedra
Aleksey Ovechkin was born in 1977. He graduated from Udmurt State University, specialising in oil and gas field development and operation.
From 1999–2009 he worked in various oil and gas organisations. His career has seen him progress from Well Survey Foreman Assistant to Deputy Director for Infrastructure Management and Operational Support — he is now the company’s Chief Engineer
He has been working at Gazprom for 14 years.
2009–2012 — Head of Operations Support and Production Infrastructure, Head of Department (Chief Engineer), Head of the Exploration and Production Department at Gazprom Neft.
2012—2015 — Director General of Gazprom Neft-Orenburg LLC.
2015 — Director General of the Gazprom Neft-Muravlenko branch of Gazprom Neft-NNG.
2015—2023 — Executive Director, and then Director General of Gazprom Neft‑Yamal LLC.
2023 — Advisor at the Executive Office of the Gazprom Nedra Management Board.
