Gazprom Nedra Completes Arctic Drilling Operations Season

Gazprom Nedra completed the construction of a prospecting and appraisal well in the Kara Sea waters using the Arkticheskaya jack-up drilling rig. The rig has now been redeployed to its moorage station in the port of Murmansk.

The well tests showed flow rates of commercial gas from the producing formation in line with expectations.

This is the second project of Gazprom Nedra LLC completed in the Arctic in 2023.

In summer, the semi-submersible floating drilling rig Severnoye Siyaniye drilled and tested an exploratory well in the Barents Sea increasing the proven hydrocarbon reserves.
