Gazprom Nedra LLC Completes Field Seismic Exploration Season

Gazprom Nedra has completed seismic exploration work at licence areas (LA) in Western and Eastern Siberia and in the Amur Region in line with the schedule. Surveys were carried out by field crews of Tomskgazgeofizika and Kostromagazgeofizika production branches.

A two-year seismic exploration project was completed in the Tazovsky District of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug at PJSC Gazprom’s Sopochny subsoil area of federal significance. In 2021–2023, 780 km² of high-density wide-azimuth seismic surveys were conducted on the territory of the Gydan Peninsula, with 380 km² completed during the last field season.

The company carried out geophysical surveys covering 750 km² at the Vostochno-Bovanenkovsky LA in the Yamal Region of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.

In April, 3D seismic exploration works were completed at PJSC Gazprom’s Mamyr subsoil areas in the Irkutsk Region. Overall area of the project implemented during two field exploration seasons amounted to 1409 km², including 961 km² surveyed in Mamyr-2 and Mamyr-3 license areas during 2022–2023.

During the season, Gazprom Nedra carried out a total of 497 line kilometres of 2D seismic work at the Belogorsky LA (Amur Region). A pilot test of domestically-manufactured cordless seismic recording equipment was successfully carried out at this site as part of an import substitution project. During the tests, experts highlighted the development’s compliance with the current requirements of the geophysical industry in terms of efficiency, manufacturability and environmental friendliness.
