Gazprom Nedra Employees Receive Commemorative Medals Dedicated to 75th Anniversary of Tyumen Geology

Gazprom Nedra LLC has awarded its Tyumen employees, whose longstanding labour background has been associated with geological exploration work in the north of the Tyumen Region. 16 company representatives received commemorative medals dedicated to the 75th Anniversary of Tyumen Geology and created to celebrate a milestone in the history of Western Siberia’s subsoil development.

“Yamal and the adjacent shelf constitute one of the key production sites of our company. You, as experts in different professions and disciplines, are the mastermind behind each project we have implemented there. Representatives of the Tyumen Regional Council of War and Labour Veterans of Tyumen production geological department (“Glavtyumengeologiya”) named after Yu. G. Ervier took part in the ceremony. “The Age of the Great Tyumen Oil and the Great Gas Discoveries began in 1948, the moment the Order for the establishment of the Tyumen Oil Prospecting Expedition was issued. Many generations of our colleagues have been involved in the construction of the West Siberian fuel and energy complex over the past seven and a half decades. I aspire for everyone who significantly contributed to the large‑scale exploration of the northern hydrocarbon fields to feel part of this tremendous adventure,” Stanislav Goncharov, Chairman of the Council of Veterans and Honorary Geologist of the Tyumen Region, pointed out. He presented the attendees with the two-volume book People and Subsoil, published to commemorate the anniversary.
