A delegation from the Forecasting and Investment Unit of Gazprom PJSC visited the Well Construction Centre of Gazprom Nedra LLC
Oleg Aksyutin, Deputy Chairman of the Management Board and Head of Department of Gazprom PJSC visited the Well Construction Centre (WCC) of Gazprom Nedra LLC on 8 April. The visit took place — Gazprom Nedra LLC and Gazprom VNIIGAZ LLC in Tyumen.
As part of the business trip, the strategic session “Scientific and Technical Support for the Prospective Development of the Mineral Resource Base and Production Capabilities of Gazprom PJSC” was held
The delegation included the Member of the Management Board and Head of Department Sergey Menshikov, heads of structural units of Gazprom PJSC, the Director General of Gazprom Invest LLC Vyacheslav Tyurin, and other heads of the subsidiaries.

Alexander Kuznetsov, Deputy Head of the Gazprom Nedra NTTs Branch, Head of the WCC presented the capabilities of the innovative structural unit. Since July 2021, using remote monitoring tools, the centre’s experts provide round-the-clock geological and engineering support for the construction of production wells at two Gazprom PJSC fields — Kharasaveyskoye on the Yamal Peninsula and Kovykta in the Irkutsk region.

Currently, there are two round-the-clock posts for geo-steering support and four posts for drilling engineering and technological support for the drilling process in the WCC. The centre’s experts carry out engineering studies, including geological and geomechanical modeling, selection of technologies and then continuous support for drilling operations.
Data arrays received by the WCC via satellite from drilling sites are processed and analysed using specific software tools mainly developed by the company itself. All data received and processed by the WCC in the single digital platform is transmitted to the Project Management Centre of the Gazprom PJSC created on the basis of Gazprom Invest LLC in St. Petersburg.
Also, during the visit, a meeting was held during which the WCC development strategy was discussed in terms of full coverage of sites for production drilling and additional functionality of the structural unit.
