During the year, Gazprom Nedra LLC carried out 20 planned environmental measures aimed at minimising the environmental impact from manufacturing, improving the process organisation and training the company’s employees in environmental safety and EMS principles.
During the year, Gazprom Nedra LLC performed environmental monitoring in 32 land areas of the Russian Federation and in 24 areas of the continental shelf. The continuous monitoring system used by the company includes sampling of soil, water, air, measurement of gamma background, observations of wildlife and erosion processes that allow to timely detect changes in the environment, objectively assess its current state and organise ecologically safe nature use.
In 2021, 20 actions during which juvenile muksun, chum salmon, grayling, peled and salmon were released into local waterways in order to artificially reproduce commercially valuable fish species took place on the order of the company in various regions of its presence.
Gazprom Nedra LLC performed a comprehensive analysis of the activities carried out in 2021 as part of the functioning of the EMS. The final report noted its effectiveness and full compliance with the goals and principles of the company’s current environmental policy.
