Gazprom Nedra employees have been awarded the ITEA’s N. K. Baibakov Public Prize
Gazprom Nedra LLC employees have been awarded the International Fuel and Energy Association’s (ITEA)’s N. K. Baibakov Public Award. The award ceremony took place on October 25th, 2024 in Moscow, as part of the Moscow Forum Energy and Civil Society-2024.
Honorary diplomas and medals of the laureate were awarded to Maxim Leskin, the Deputy Head of the Well Test Operation Department, and to the department’s Lead Engineers, Vitaly Androshchuk and Alexander Ryzhkov, Ekaterina Semenova, the Lead Engineer of the Geological and Technical Research Department, and Alexey Korobeinikov, the Deputy Head of Gazprom Nedra NTTs (Science and Technology Centre) Branch for Geology, also received awards.
Technology for determining the flow rate of the broad fraction of light hydrocarbons during trial operations featured as the title of the project submitted by the entrants to the Public Award competition. This new technology will increase the feasibility of obtaining highly reliable information on the volumes of the broad fraction of light hydrocarbons in the recoverable product at the exploration stage. This would reduce capital investment at the design and construction stage of infrastructure during field development, and would eliminate the costly reconstruction of gathering and preparation systems during field development.
Two more Gazprom Nedra LLC employees — Anatoly Mil, the Deputy Head of the Exploration Geophysics Directorate & the Head of the Field Geophysics Production Department, and Dmitry Mashenkin, the Head of the Department for the Support of Field Geophysical Activities and Well Surveys — received awards for working on a joint project with AO GNPP Aerogeofizika. The team, working as part of the import substitution programme for geophysical equipment and components, has developed a free-of-charge airborne gravimeter for solving geological problems. This new generation high-tech device remains equal to competitor devices in terms of its technical parameters and specifications.
The N. K. Baibakov Annual Public Prize is awarded for achieving a significant contribution to the sustainable and safe development of the fuel and energy industry, as well as for the development and implementation of innovative technologies, eco-energy efficient, industrial and construction projects, new progressive methods and energy resources management.
