Gazprom Nedra discussed production plans in Yakutia with the administration and residents of Mirny District
On 17 March, a delegation from Gazprom Nedra LLC paid a working visit to the Mirny District of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) where geological exploration is underway. The delegation members attended a meeting of the Board under the Head of Mirny District Municipal Entity devoted to interaction with subsoil users, where they discussed the current status of and plans for geological exploration in the region and some issues concerning the socio-economic partnership between the company and the municipality. A set of measures to prevent forest fires in the spring and summer this year was dealt with separately.
During the visit, a meeting was held with residents of Botuoba Nasleg, where the prospects of Gazprom Nedra LLC’s operations in the Mirny District were presented. In particular, exploration wells are to be constructed within the Tas-Yuryakh Oil and Gas Condensate Field between 2022 and 2024 as part of a comprehensive action plan to create gas production, gas transportation, and gas processing facilities using gas from fields in the Yakutia Gas Production Centre. The company representatives also informed the audience about measures taken by the company to ensure sustainable and environmentally friendly management of natural resources.
“In the Mirny District close attention is given to interaction with subsoil user companies. The Board is one of the mechanisms for collaboration, enabling a constructive dialogue on the most urgent issues, such as local employment, preparations for the fire-hazardous season, and social partnerships. This approach allows us to keep our finger on the pulse of large-scale industrial development of the area,” said Aleksandr Basyrov, Head of Mirny District Municipal Entity of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).
“Gazprom Nedra uses a range of tools to facilitate efficient interaction with authorities and communities in the regions where it operates. In addition to participating in regional and municipal events, we also practise presentation meetings with representatives of remote areas. During these visits we answer questions from people, listen to comments, and collect suggestions. Constant feedback helps maintain and develop good neighbourly relations,” commented Vsevolod Cherepanov, General Director of Gazprom Nedra LLC, on the outcome of the visit.
