Gazprom Nedra Sums Up Charity Work Results for 2022

In 2022, Gazprom Nedra LLC executed 45 charitable projects to shape a favourable social environment and develop infrastructure across its operations areas. Community, educational, sports and health facilities benefited through cooperation agreements with regional authorities.

The company funded activities held across Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Area municipalities to promote the traditional culture of the Northern indigenous minorities. These included Yamal District Reindeer Herders’ Gathering in Yar-Sale village, Reindeer Herders and Hunters’ Day in Seyakha village, Haerako Soya’ma (Birth of the Sun) in Panayevsk and Salemal villages, Fisherman’s Day in Salemal, Novy Port and Syunay-Sale villages. The company also sponsored the 77th Anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War and settlement anniversaries. Funds have been allocated to help arrange environmental activities in the Nadym District, such as eliminating unauthorised landfill sites covering an area of 1.6 hectares.

In the Irkutsk Region, funding was allocated to a number of municipalities in the Zalarinsky, Zhigalovsky, Ust-Udinsky, Bratsky, Kazachinsko-Lensky and Nizhneilimsky Districts for community redevelopment and promotion of cultural and sports initiatives of residents. These funds were used to construct stages, playgrounds, sports grounds and an artisan workshop, as well as to acquire hardscape elements, a minibus, sports equipment and appliances for educational and sports facilities, etc. Among other things, Gazprom Nedra LLC provided financing in the Nizhneilimsky District to design a memorial sign Shield of the Motherland to be erected in honour of the famous fellow countryman Mikhail Kuzmich Yangel, whose name went down in the history of rocket engineering.

The company aided the purchase of a frame greenhouse for a secondary school in the Mirninsky District in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). Students will now be able to cultivate vegetables at the school allotment starting in the summer of 2023. Twenty tonnes of flour have been purchased in the Lensky District to make baked goods for school cafeterias. A team of athletes from Kobyaisky settlement successfully participated in the 8th Sports Games of the Peoples of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) aided by Gazprom Nedra.

In the Sakhalin Region, the company contributed to the Nogliksky, Poronaisky and Smirnykhovsky districts by supporting projects to preserve national crafts and traditional culture of Northern indigenous minorities, and by renovating and furnishing the music room of a kindergarten. In the Kamchatka Territory, funds have been allocated to set up a mini-football court in the village of Sobolevo.

The offices of the Tourist Information Centre in the Murmansk Region have been equipped with modern video surveillance systems.

The company sponsored on-site training for students from the Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas. The School of Petroleum and Gas Engineering at Siberian Federal University (SFU) in Krasnoyarsk has received a specialised geophysical hardware and instrumentation complex to arrange practical training. The Tyumen Orthodox High School was presented with a set of multimedia equipment.

In 2022, the Church of All Saints in the village of Yarensk, Lensky District (Arkhangelsk Region), was connected to gas mains through the company’s sponsorship.

Active cooperation with charitable foundations was also undertaken. Last year, funding was allocated to foundations whose activities mainly focus on providing medical and social assistance to adults and children with disabilities and developmental delays, as well as veterans of war.
