Gazprom Nedra LLC and the cities of the Sakhalin Region develop mutually beneficial cooperation

On Wednesday, September 29, 2021, in Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk, Vsevolod Cherepanov, General Director of Gazprom Nedra LLC, signed additional cooperation agreements with the administrations of a number of municipalities of the Sakhalin Region.

The documents were signed by: Sergei Kamelin, Mayor of the Municipal Entity Nogliksky City District; Alexander Radomsky, Mayor of the Poronaysky City District; and Yegor Belobaba, Head of the Municipal Entity Smirnykhovsky City District. Regina Fedulova, Head of the Department for Work with Indigenous Peoples of the North, was present at the signing ceremony on behalf of the Sakhalin Region government.
Additional agreements were signed in development of the written agreements on cooperation concluded by the parties a year earlier, establishing the main directions and principles of interaction in the field of solving social, economic and environmental problems.

In particular, Gazprom Nedra LLC has undertaken finance activities in 2021 as part of the socio-economic development of the relevant municipalities of the Sakhalin Region. In turn, the administrations of city districts will assist the Company in its activities on their territory.

“The signing of additional cooperation agreements with the authorities of several cities of the Sakhalin Region, which is one of the key regions for PJSC Gazprom in terms of implementing large-scale projects for the development of the continental shelf of the Russian Federation, indicates the mutual intention of the parties to develop productive business ties in the long term,” said Vsevolod Cherepanov, General Director of Gazprom Nedra LLC.
According to Vsevolod Cherepanov, “the relations already established between us offer favourable chances for expansion and enrichment with new forms and projects towards the economic development of Sakhalin and improving the quality of life of its population”.
